Obituary of Joanne May

Joanne passed peacefully on June 9th at the age of 87. Joanne will be fondly remembered for her kindness and welcoming spirit and devotion to her family and friends. She was born in Saint Paul, MN and raised her 8 children there as well. She and Larry then retired to "the lake' in Birchwood, WI and enjoyed many happy years at Long Lake with wonderful friends. They then moved to River Falls, WI where they had another community of new friends. Most recently she has resided at Polar Ridge in North Saint Paul, MN. She was preceded in death by her loving husband, Larry, grandson Danny and daughter-in-law, Kathy. She is survived by her sister, Mary Bernard Pabst and her children Joanne (Jim), Steve, Dan (Kris), Jeanne (Mike) McGrath, Bill (Karla), John (Maren), Aimie (Brian) Tansey and Christopher (Gretchen). Beloved Grandmother of 24, Great Grandmother of 16, and Aunt to numerous beloved nieces and nephews. Visitation will be at 10 AM on June 15, 2018, with funeral Mass at 11 AM with luncheon to follow at Saint Casmir's Church at 917 Jessamine Avenue E., Saint Paul, MN. Memorials preferred to Families of SMA or Pancreatic Cancer Foundation .
