Obituary of Richard Charles Timm

Richard (Dick) C Timm, a beloved husband, father, father-in-law, grandfather, and friend passed away peacefully on Saturday, July 13, 2024, at the age of 90.

Richard was preceded in death by his wife Marlene, parents, Fred and Doris, sons Steven and Ricky, sister Ruth and brother Russell.

Richard is survived by his son Scott and daughter and son-in-law Nicole (Allen) Ringate; daughter-in-law Denise; 5 grandchildren Nate, Mitch, Beck, Jake, and Brooke; as well as many other relatives.

Richard had a full life whether he was taking flying lessons to become a commercial pilot, learning and teaching Tae Kwon Do, constructing motorhomes or boats to have adventures in, lending a helping hand with housing and car projects, or finding time to travel with his family and friends. Some of Richard’s explorations brought him to the Badlands, Devil’s Tower, Yellowstone, Punta Gorda, Padre Island, and the Alaska wilderness to name a few.    Richard also enjoyed gardening, deer hunting, and fishing for salmon. Eventually Richard learned ballroom dancing where he met a lovely dance partner, Diana.  The two of them enjoyed being with each other and going to the different dance halls around the Twin Cities. He also made sure to attend his grandchildren’s sporting events, dance recitals, and birthday parties.

Richard was a remarkable son, husband, father, grandfather, uncle, and friend. He will be greatly missed by his family and friends.

Celebration of Life will be held on Wednesday, July 24 at 11 am with visitation 1 hour prior at the Cremation Society of Minnesota 7110 France Avenue South Edina. Luncheon to follow service at the chapel.
