Obituary of Jacquelyn Sovick Lonne

Jackie passed away late evening on July 7, 2024 at the age of 48 after a courageous battle with cancer, surrounded by loved ones who will continue to honor her legacy by living their lives to the fullest.

Jackie graduated from Bagley High School in 1994 and then went onto the College of Saint Benedicts for her Bachelor’s degree in HR. She then completed her Masters Degree in Human Resources at Concordia University St Paul. Jackie worked for the State of MN Department of Corrections for over 25 years. Jackie had a passion for her job and working with her coworkers.

The simplest pleasures in life brought great joy to Jackie. She loved a quiet evening with friends and family, traveling, spending time Up North and on the water. She had an uncanny ability to find happiness in her daily activities. Her pleasant personality and beautiful smile were contagious to everyone she met.

Jackie's legacy will live on forever and never be forgotten.

Jackie is survived by her husband, Jason; parents, Ron and Ellen; brothers, Jason and Jedd, aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, and nephews.

A memorial service will be held Saturday, July 27, 2024 at Faith Lutheran Church, 32 Bagley Ave NW, Bagley MN 56621. The family will receive guests at 10:00 am, with a service at 11:00 am. A reception will follow.

A Celebration of Life will occur on Saturday, September 28, 2024 at the Cleary Lake Pavilion, 18106 Texas Ave, Prior Lake, MN 55372. More details will follow at a later date.
