Obituary of Carolyn Louise Temte

Age 75, of Burnsville and Bloomington Minnesota, passed away peacefully on July 2, 2024.

Carolyn was born in Minneapolis, Minnesota on February 1, 1949, to Russell and Anne Swanson. She was the eldest of 4 children, and the only daughter. She attended nursing school and became an RN. She married the love of her life, Bruce, on July 19, 1970, and raised three daughters: Lisa, Emily, and Sara.

Carolyn served many roles as a nurse from an ER nurse, to triage at two different clinics, a chiropractic nurse, and even a nurse up at the camp she attended as a child (North Central Camp Cherith). After she retired, she spent much of her time traveling with her husband. She was also a faithful member of Faith Covenant Church in Burnsville.

She was a loving and devoted wife, mother, grandmother, daughter, sister, aunt, neighbor, and friend. She had a huge heart for people and hospitality. She loved to take care of others and entertain. Her knack for decorating at every holiday was unmatched, and the pride and love she had for her grandchildren made her light up with joy.

She is preceded in death by her parents, Russell and Anne, step-mother, Delores, brother, Russell Jr., husband of 48 years, Bruce, and daughter, Emily.

Survived by daughters, Lisa (Jason) Hanson, Sara Temte (Eric Schaeffer), and son-in-law, Caleb Anderson; 8 grandchildren (Tyler, Austin, Lexie, Josie, Hunter, Dakota, Calliope, and Cassius), and 2 siblings, Richard (Cheryl) and Robert (MJ) Swanson.
