He was a member of North Oaks Country Club for many years. Many a story have been told of playing gin rummy with the guys at North Oaks. His passion followed him to Florida where he was a member of Largo Golf Course as well. Jim loved going up North to the Brainerd Lakes area. Eventually he owned a cabin on Sibley Lake in Pequot Lakes which became his home once he retired. There he cared for Marilyn who was ill for many years.
