Bette Willoughby

Obituary of Bette Willoughby

Bette (Renaud) Willoughby (77) of Superior, WI went to be with her husband Tony and her son Nick on Tuesday, June 11, 2024, after a long battle with corticobasal Syndrome. Bette was born Sept. 5, 1946, to Tom and June Renaud and grew up in Proctor, MN graduating from Proctor High School in 1964 where she will fondly be remembered as a head majorette. Betty has resided in Superior for the past 58 years. She was employed by Indianhead Technical College, and she loved her job and made many great friends. She also enjoyed working with all the ladies on the Town of Superior Election Board. Bette and Tony spent their winters going south to Texas, where they met and made some very good friends and spent time with extended family and always stopped in Branson, Missouri on their way home. Bette’s pride and joy were her grandchildren who would come and visit. She had many wonderful laughs and made many wonderful memories with them.

Bette is preceded in death by her beloved husband Tony and her son Nick in 2021; parents Tom and June Renaud; sisters Corrine McGovern, Margaret (Muggs) Renaud and brother Jim Renaud.

She is survived by her daughters Lena Greenfield (Jeff), Karla Van Overmeiren (Joe) and son Dave Willoughby (Lisa); grandsons Garrett, Brandon (Kylee), Wade (Paige), Evan, Austin (Alyssa), Eric (Hannah) and Trevor; granddaughters Ashlee (Zak) and Natosha (Jake); great-grandchildren Levi, Teagan, Eli, Colt, Hazel and Bea; brother Bob Renaud, sisters Mary Lambert (Tom), Leslie Carlson (Lee) and many nieces and nephews.

We would like to thank the Hospice staff and nurses for their loving support and care. A special thank you to Evan, Austin, Cindi and Kathy.
