Obituary of Aaron Marie Gockowski

Aaron Marie Gockowski was born September 17, 1979 to Shelly (Kovanen) Gockowski and Leonard Gockowski Jr. She was the 4th of 5 children. Aaron attended Moose Lake and Willow River Schools.

In December 2002, Aaron had her son, Riley. Riley was the true love and light in her life. She loved being his mom.

Aaron had Type 1 diabetes and with that came a long series of health complications including several kidney and pancreas transplants. 

Aaron will be remembered for her generosity, her brilliant and infectious smile, her fierce love for her son, and the ability to say whatever was on her mind at any time without filter. 

Aaron was the recipient of organ donations. In turn, she was an organ donor. This is her legacy. She was able to provide other individuals the gift of an organ transplant. This was incredibly important to her.

Aaron is survived by her son Riley Holt (Samantha Ackerman), grandson Elijah,  bonus grandsons Xavier and Benjamin, her parents Shelly Gockowski and Leonard Gockowski Jr, her siblings Tracey (Terry) Williams, Danielle DeRungs, Lance (Mindy) Gockowski, and Shianne Gockowski, her very special nephews Logan, Colton, Colby and Carter Gockowski, Wade Melrose, Hunter Zuk, and her maternal Grandmother Aileen Kovanen along with numerous aunts, uncles, cousins and friends.

A private memorial will be held at a later date.
