Obituary of Gary Glen Grew

Gary Glen Grew, age 72, of Duluth, passed away peacefully after a long battle with cancer Sunday, June 10, 2018 with his family by his side. He was a great man with a huge heart and a love for many people. Gary looked forward to putting a smile on his granddaughter, Aura's face every single day. She was his pride and joy...the apple of his eye. Gary had a love for his work as owner and operator for Grew Construction. He's still working in heaven. Gary was preceded in death by his mother, Velma Grew. He is survived by his wife, Mary Elizabeth Grew; daughters, Tina (Dave) Hallfrisch, Samantha (Dennis) Abee, Misty (Brent) Garden and Tamara Grew; grandchildren, Cody and Hunter Oak, Heather West, Sarina and Logan Abee, Whitney and Autumn Garden, Aura Butler and Avayah Deutsch; sisters, Jean Wright, Mary Lou (Paul) Grymala and Kathy (Craig) Polling; brothers, Jon Grew and Jack Grew; best friends, Terry and Dennis Perrault and Greg Lillejord. A special thank you to St. Luke's Hospice for the care and comfort they provided. Gathering of family and friends from 2 p.m. until the 3 p.m. memorial service Friday, June 15th at Waters of Life Church, 6221 Rice Lake Road.
