Obituary of Thomas Edward Leclerc
THOMAS EDWARD LECLERC, 64, devoted father and son, died Saturday, June 15, 2024, at the University of Minnesota Medical Center-East Bank in Minneapolis, Minnesota, with his son and siblings by his side, after a valiant fight with long-term illness.
Thomas “Tom” was born in Rochester, New Hampshire and spent most of his childhood in Auburn, ME. He became an accomplished golfer at a young age. After graduating from Edward Little High School in 1977, he was recruited to play on the golf team at the University of North Carolina, Greensboro, NC. Tom had a successful career in sales in Las Vegas, Nevada. As his illness progressed, he selflessly moved back to Maine to care for his mother. After a successful recovery from a kidney transplant, Tom spent his final years in Sauk Rapids, MN, cherishing every moment with his only child, Brady. Along with his love for family and golf, Tom was an avid fan of all Boston sports.
Tom is survived by his son Brady; sister Penny Carrier and family; brother Donald “Skip” Leclerc, Jr. and family; sister Barbara Leclerc; and brother Christopher Leclerc and family.
Tom was preceded in death by his father, Donald Leclerc; mother, Barbara Leclerc; and sister, Kathleen Dumais.
The Leclerc family will hold a celebration of his life at York Beach, Maine, in July 2024.
