Obituary of Karen Sue Semroska
Karen Sue Semroska passed away on Sunday June 16, 2024 at her home surrounded by family. Arrangements are under the direction of the Cremation Society of Minnesota. A private graveside burial will be held at a later date.
Karen was born December 01, 1939 in Nebraska. She was adopted by Lincoln and Leitha Cormany in 1948. After High School graduation, she attended college in Spearfish, South Dakota working towards a degree in education. She was united in marriage to Joseph Semroska on April 12, 1960. They were blessed with four children Randy, Cindy, Brian and Julie. They relocated their family to Minnesota where she continued to work at various jobs, raised her family, and took night classes to finish her degree at St. Cloud State University. She finished her Bachelor’s degree in education and worked at many schools, ending at District 484 in Pierz, Minnesota in 1998. After a couple years of retired life, she began a second career at the St. Cloud Sewing Center where she was able to share her love and knowledge of sewing with the customers. It was her dream job and she enjoyed every day being paid to do her favorite thing, sewing.
Left to cherish her memory are her husband, Joseph Semroska of Little Falls; children Randy (D’laine) Semroska of Tyler TX, Cindy (Carl) Lamp of Sartell MN, Brian (Karyn)Semroska of Eveleth MN, Julie (Doug) Zupko of Flensburg MN, and many grandchildren and great grandchildren, brother John Hills of South Dakota.
She is preceded in death by her parents and adopted brother, Bill Cormany.
