MARGARET E. MAURER (JOHNSON)

Of Roseville, MN; January 26, 1928 to May 26, 2024, age 96. Born in Cornell, WI, to Rose and John Johnson.

Margaret Johnson married Joseph Matthew Maurer Jr. July 28, 1945, in Jim Falls, WI. They resided on the family farm in Cornell until 1951, when they moved to St. Paul.

She was preceded in death by husband Joseph, daughters Beth Grams and Cynthia (infant).  Sisters Rosemary (Bud) Gorton, Caroline Black, and Geraldine (Dick) Steinmetz; brothers Bernard (Vera), Harold (Bea), Raymond and Ed (Shirley); sisters-in-law Viola (Elton) Hilger, Lorraine (Bob) Hilger and Norma (Ed) Johnson.

Beloved mother of Judy (John) Steiner, Joseph “Butch” Maurer (Jan), Sue (Jack) Hansen, Connie (Dennis) Lasser, and Barbara (Greg) Olson;  Grandmother of 14 grandchildren, 17 great-grand children and 1 great-great-grandchild.

Also survived by brothers Alonzo (Jean) and Guy (Judy).  Sisters-in-law Cathryn Vogwill and Rose Johnson; and many nieces and nephews.
