Obituary of Edna M. Kuchinski

Kuchinski, Edna M.- (nee - Kuehn) July18th, 1927 - May 3rd, 2024

Edna, or "Eddie", as she was known by friends, was born on the family farm near Lake Josephine, in what was then Mounds View Township (later Shoreview).  She was the youngest of seven children born to Myrtle and John Kuehn.  She spent her days working on the farm, swimming in the lake & working at her brother Larry's Tavern. She attended the old Lake Owasso School & graduated from Mechanic Arts in St. Paul.  She was in the marching band playing the "sax" & so began her love of music.  Edna worked at the St. Paul Pioneer Press, Honeywell & later at St. Paul Book & Stationary.  She married A.M. "Bert" Kuchinski on September 22nd, 1957 & had one child named Dan.  The family grew up in a loving community of relatives & friends on Hamline Avenue in Arden Hills.  She enjoyed family vacations in the camper, the family get-togethers, the holiday celebrations, but most of all she loved dancing!  Eddie attributed this to her long life of 96 years.  She is preceded in death by sisters, Mae, Blanche, and Dorothy; brothers, Fred, Larry, and John; and husband, Bert.  Survived by loving son, Dan; special nieces, Peggy and Brenda; and close friend, Chet.  Eddie was a social butterfly and will be missed by her family and friends.  A private mass was already held with interment at Fort Snelling at a later date.  A special thanks to the Cremation Society of St. Paul and Regions Hospital for their help during this difficult time.
