Obituary of Michael Patrick Winn

Michael “Mike” Patrick Winn, 66, of Maple Grove, MN, passed away unexpectedly at his home on Friday, May 24, 2024. Mike was born on August 23, 1957, to Pat and Terri Winn on Hamilton Air Force Base in Novato, CA. He and his family relocated to Brooklyn Park, MN, in 1961. He attended Park Center High School and graduated in 1976. Mike and his wife, Jean, married in 1986 and lived in Maple Grove where they started their family.

He was a devoted son, husband, father, and papa who loved spending time with family and friends. He enjoyed tinkering in his garage, spending time at the cabin, and spending time with his grandchildren. Any classic car would turn his head, and he would proudly blast classic rock music while driving with all his windows open. He had an infectious laugh that would fill an entire room, and he will be deeply missed by all.

Mike was survived by his father Pat Winn; wife, Jean Winn; their three children, Christopher (Holly) Winn, Kevin (Rebecca) Winn, and Virginia (Matthew) Contreras; six grandchildren, Cali, Cooper, Kairi, Iris, Lennox, and Bennett; sister, Barbara (William) Klingbeil and niece, Andrea (Daniel) McLaughlin.

Mike was preceded in death by his mother Terri Winn.

A visitation will be held at St. Vincent DePaul Church at 9100 93rd Ave. N in Brooklyn Park, MN 55445, on Wednesday, June 12, beginning at 9:30 a.m. A Catholic Mass will start at 10:30 a.m. with a luncheon to follow.
