Obituary of Paulette Turnell Barnard

Paulette Turnell Barnard (Gordon), 72, passed away May 29, 2024 in Duluth.

She was born Oct 10, 1951 in Duluth to parents Elsbeth (Anderson) & Forrest Gordon. She grew up on Skyline Pkwy with her sister Alane, attending Central High School where she met her future husband Stanley Barnard, whom she married in 1972. In 1985 the family moved to Proctor where the children attended Proctor High School. She finished her career as an administrative assistant at Minnesota Power, retiring in 2014. After the passing of Stanley in 2015, she found a renewal of life spending much of her time dedicated to her family, reading, the outdoors, knitting, and reconnecting with life long friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband Stan, her in-laws, both brothers in-law, Peewee and Roger, and numerous aunts and uncles.

Survived by her sister Alane and brother in-law George Sweezy, children:  Krista (Brett) Paulick, Eric (Tammy) Barnard; grandchildren: Kyanna, Dylan, Riley, Jacob, and Sidney,  She also is survived by many nieces and nephews and extended family too numerous to mention.

CELEBRATION OF LIFE: 1 to 4 p.m. Sunday, June 9, at the Buffalo House Bison Room.
