Obituary of Catherine Hoy

Catherine Hoy Hoy, Catherine, age 50 of Burnsville and Brighton, MA; passed away on May 7, 2016. Preceded in death by parents, Daniel and Julia Hoy, beloved Aunt Catherine (Michael) Griffin, and Uncle Henry (Patricia) Hoy. Survived by siblings: Mary M. Quin (Paul), Johanna Anderson (Urban) of San Diego, CA, and Julia Sargent (Robert) of Shrewsbury, MA and nephews: Daniel and Michael Quin of Burnsville; nieces: Shannon and Christina Sargent of Shrewsbury, MA; and Loving Aunt, Christina Molloy, of Schiller Park, IL; and many cousins residing in IL, MA and Ireland. Funeral Mass will be held 11 AM Friday, May 20, 2016 at St. Joseph’s Catholic Church in Rosemount, MN. Family and friends are invited for visitation one hour prior to Mass at the Church. Donations in Catherine’s memory may be made to the Human Life Alliance, Minneapolis, MN or Allina Hospice, Hastings, MN. Catherine was a loving, remarkable woman who enjoyed music and film. She was born with Downs Syndrome and shared an infectious smile and gentle personality that was cherished by all she touched in life. The family extends thanks to her many teachers, aides, respite care providers and healthcare workers for their dedicated support throughout her life.
