Obituary of Cole Mark Crawford

Cole was taken off life support in the ICU unit at HCMC on May 16, 2024. He had severe brain damage caused by cardiac arrest and passed away at 1:00 am on Friday, May 17, 2024. 

Cole struggled with a chaotic lifestyle for several years. He managed to stay sober for 2 years before his last outing to the streets on January 2, 2024. He is a former 8-year employee of Best Buy Corporation, received a high school diploma from Southwest high school, and was very knowledgeable with computers and technology. Cole liked playing video games, car rides, the water taxis in Chicago and the Electric Daisy Carnival in Las Vegas. 

Buried beneath his shortcoming, was a caring, kind, gentle person. We will miss him greatly! The Hope is gone but the love will never leave! 

His sister, Catharine, and his father, John, want to thank the ICU doctors, nurses and other staff at HCMC for the respect they had for Cole and for us. What wonderful people! 

Cole is preceded in death by his grandparents, Ray and Bonnie; and his mother, Linda. 

He is survived by his dad, John; sisters, Catharine and Colleen; brothers, Bob and Jim; 6 nephews and 2 nieces.
