Obituary of Jerry Lee Shores

Jerry Lee Shores, age 85, of New Brighton, MN passed away on April 24, 2024, surrounded by his family. He was born on July 8, 1938, to Erwin (Buster) and Esmer Shores in Pelican Rapids, MN. 

He is survived by his wife, LaVonne (Stensgard), of 64 years; their six children: Lee of Reno, NV, Connie (Jeff) Hertz of Afton, MN, Steven of Oak Grove, MN, Sean (Kim) of Milaca, MN, Trent of New Brighton, MN, and Stephanie (Mike) Moberg of Cottage Grove, MN; seventeen grandchildren; six great grandchildren; his sister, JoAnn (Brent) Frazier of Pelican Rapids, MN; and many nieces and nephews. 

Jerry was preceded in death by his parents; brothers, Roger and Richard; sister, Geraldine Dalen; and daughter-in-law, Dawn.

A private memorial service for family and close friends will be held in the Great Room at New Life Church of Woodbury, 6758 Bailey Road, Woodbury, MN on June 2, 2024, from 2:00 - 5:00 PM.
