Obituary of Diane L Miller

Diane Laura Miller, Age 66, passed away peacefully surrounded by her loved ones on Saturday May 11 at the St. Could Hospital after a long and courageous battle with type 1 diabetes and all of the complications that can come with that.

A celebration of life will be held for family and close friends on May 18th at 1:00 at her daughter Chrissy’s house 29933 Lindbergh Lane, Avon MN.

Diane was born in St. Louis, MO on March 26, 1958 to Myra Carter. She met the love of her life Thomas Miller in 1975 at Fort Riley, KS and from there became a loving wife and mother who was first a stay-at-home mom and then a stay at home grandmother. After her children were grown, she provided a daycare and second home to all of her children’s children she truly loved being with her grandchildren. As she got older though her long term diabetes took a toll on her health, but with the help of her devoted husband she was still able to live life to the fullest taking trips, gardening and putting puzzles together they were two peas in a pod after Tom’s retirement in 2019. Diane fought a hard fight for several years and make no mistake she was a fighter.

She is survived by her loving husband Tom, children Angie (Harold) Desautel, Jessica (Jason) Knoll, Christine (Joey) Glatzmaier, Michael (Leah) Miller. Grandchildren Eddie, Shelby, James, David, Thomas, Cameron, Laura, Makara, and Amoni. Sisters Peggy Hendrix and Tonya Carter (Mike Persons). Brothers Mikey Hanstein and Robby (Brenda) Hanstein. Many Great grandchildren, nieces and nephews

Diane was preceded in death by her Mother Myra and son Thomas. Mother and Father in law Art and Martha Miller.

The family would like to thank CentraCare Hospital and their teams of doctors and nurses at the hospital who were there to help Diane and her family
