Obituary of Jean Marie Metcalf

METCALF (Litvinoff), Jean Marie, age 75, passed away May 9th at her home in Blaine, MN, after a long 8 year courageous fight with cancer. Jean was born at home in Kennan, WI in August 1940. She was preceded in death by her father, Max. She is survived by her mother, Rose, of Kennan, WI., her brothers, James (Carole), and Jerry. She will be deeply missed by her husband of 53 years, Wayne; her two daughters and their families, Kristie (Steve) Klopp and their sons, Jarrod (21) and Jon (18); Sheri (Tim) White and their four daughters, Emily (17), Annika (15), Erika (12) and Avary (9); many relatives and good friends. Jean was an active quilter, gardener, golfer, bookkeeper, church volunteer, and an enthusiastic cheerleader for her grandchildren’s sports, concerts, and school/church activities. Jean’s memorial service will be held at Christ the King Lutheran Church, 1900 7th St. NW, New Brighton, MN 11am Thursday, May 19 with visitation at church beginning at 930am. Inurnment to follow at the church columbarium. Memorials preferred to “The Lymphoma Foundation of MN”, or, “Christ the King Memorial Fund”.
