Obituary of Barbara ‘Barb’ Cline

Barbara “Barb” Cline died in her home on June 11th, 2018 at 05:10pm, after bravely battling leukemia for two years and 3 months. She was surrounded by her family and passed peacefully. A Memorial Service will be held on June 23rd, 2018, at 11:00 am The Service will be held at the Motley Free Methodist Church (33 Wellwood St., Motley, MN). There will be a visitation on June 22nd, 2018 from 4:00pm until 8:00 pm if necessary. The Visitation will be held at the Staples Church of Christ (27343 490th St., Staples, MN). An Internment will be at a later date at the Camp Ripley National Cemetery. Barb was born on August 26th, 1945 in Brainerd, MN to Delores (Brown Larson) Pribbenow, and Roy Larson. She was raised in Motley, MN with her five sisters, and two brothers. She married David Cline on December 12th, 1966 in Mound, MN. Barb was a proud mother of a daughter, Jennifer Mulholland of Breezy Point, and two sons, Jonathan and Jason Cline both of Aitkin. Barb spent her working years in the Customized Training Field, retiring as a Customized Training Representative for Central Lakes College in 2013. After retirement, Barb worked for three years as the Director of the Staples Motley Area Chamber of Commerce. Barb was a gifted singer and loved all things musical. She participated in the Staples Area Women’s Chorus for 37 years, serving on the Chorus Executive Board for many of those years. Barb’s passion was bringing music to as many people as possible and was very involved in the “Her Voice, Her Song” events in Staples. Barb also spent her time singing at nursing homes, and care centers, funerals, and weddings for countless years. Barb was deeply devoted to her family and often said her favorite times were spent with them. Barb was proceeded in death by her parents Roy Larson, and Delores Pribbenow; step-father Arthur Pribbenow; Sister Sharon; Brother Ronald; Father in Law, Roy; Mother in law, Dorothy; five brother’s in law, and two sister’s in law; and three nephews. She is survived by her husband David; children, Jennifer (James) Mulholland, Jonathan (Katie) Cline, Jason (Lindsey) Cline; sisters, Beverly Zabrowski, Sandy (Gary) Winkle, Patsy Johnson, Debora Larson; brother, Daryl Larson; Step Sisters, Beverly Hahn, Barbara Dahl, Bonnie (Wayne) Witkop; Step Brother, Jerry Pribbenow; 14 nephews, 10 nieces, and 8 grandchildren.
