Obituary of Michael Wayne Staehli
Michael Wayne Staehli passed away on April 23rd 2024 at North Memorial Hospital at the age of 63.
He was a resident of River Falls, Wisconsin. He was born on July 8th 1960 in Plum City, Wisconsin, he was the loving son of Wayne Elwin Staehli and Jean Arlene (Caturia) Staehli. Michael graduated from Ellsworth Senior High School in 1978. He then served 6 years in the Army National Guard and was honorably discharged in 1985. He worked in many trades throughout his life, most recently working as a machine service technician. He was a long time member of St. John’s Lutheran Church.
In his free time Michael enjoyed spending time with his children as well as playing pool and cards. He was also a big sports fan and enjoyed watching the Green Bay Packers and the Milwaukee Brewers. After he was unable to work due to his health conditions, he enjoyed volunteering his time at the Pierce County Food Pantry in Ellsworth as well as Second Chances Thrift Store in River Falls.
He is preceded in death by his parents Wayne and Jean Staehli (Caturia), grandparents Harvey and Veatruce Staehli, grandparents Casper and Gladys Caturia, and aunt Wanda Amyx. He is survived by his son Jacob Wayne Staehli (Goodhue, MN), his daughter Jerica Lynn Staehli (Goodhue, MN), his sister and her husband Lisa and Kevin Huppert (Ellsworth, WI), his sister and her husband Julie and Nathan Payzant (Port Orchard, WA).
Per Michael’s wishes there will be no memorial service held, his family will have a private memorial spreading his ashes in his hometown of Plum City, WI. Arrangements are under the direction of the Cremation Society of Minnesota.
