Obituary of Georgie Swanstrom

Georgie (Nickelson) Swanstrom passed away peacefully in her sleep on May 13, 2016 at her daughter's home. She was born on March 19, 1919 to George and Ruth Nickelson. Georgie was preceded in death by her husband of 47 years, Russell; daughter Elcey; son Steven; and grandson Tommy. She is survived by son Stuart; daughter Jane (Randy) Ecklund; daughter-in-law Jeri (Steven); two special "daughters" Carol and Ginny; 14 grandchildren and their spouses and significant others; 25 great-grandchildren, two great-great-grandchildren. VISITATION: 1 p.m. until the 2 p.m. Celebration of Life on Thursday, May 19, in First Church of Christ, Scientist, Duluth, 1731 N. 43rd Ave. East.
