Obituary of Elizabeth Mae Bridge

Bridge, Elizabeth "Bette" Born October 2, 1913, died May 14, 2016. For 71 years Bette lived in Deephaven in a little cottage a block from the beach on Lake Minnetonka. She became an icon in the neighborhood greeting everyone - adults, kids and dogs on their way to the beach. They all knew Bette and she knew all their names, their children's names and where they went to college. Bette did not collect fancy possessions. She collected friends. Because of so many friends, she lived in her own home until 102. Special thanks to dear friends Nancy Johnson, Katy Donlin "my angel," and Phyliss Doman. She is survived by her beloved family Jack (Dodie) Ballantine, Marilyn (David) Heldt; stepson Wayne Bridge; grandchildren; great; and great great grandchildren; nieces, and many beloved friends and neighbors. Preceded in death by husband Ferdie; mother Sophie Semlow; sisters Eveyln and Marie; brother George. Memorial service at Grace Lutheran Church, Deephaven, MN, 18360 Minnetonka Blvd, Wayzata, MN 55391. Service at 2 PM, visitation prior to service. Private interment at Lakeview Cemetery. Memorials preferred to Fairview Hospice, Minneapolis, Minnesota.
