Brainerd, Minnesota – Linda Wilcox, a cherished sister, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, friend, and nature enthusiast, passed away on April 6th, 2024, at the age of 76. Born in Minneapolis on June 19, 1947, she spent her life embracing the beauty of the outdoors, especially through her deep love for birds.

As a devoted friend of Bill W. since 1987, Linda was not only an inspiration to many in the sober community, but she was also a friend to all who walked that path. Her compassion and unwavering support touched the lives of many seeking a better life through recovery.

Her family and friends will forever hold dear the memories of her warm smile, gentle spirit, and the joy she found in life's simple pleasures. Linda leaves behind a legacy of love, resilience, and the importance of embracing the beauty found in every moment.

Linda is preceded in death by her father, Paul Mooney, her mother, Margaret Anderson, her stepfather, John Anderson, and her sister Martha Hahn. She is survived by her siblings, Janice Wilson and John Anderson, her children, Todd (Cherry) Erickson, Sarah Erickson, Alvin Alexander, and Kelly Wilcox, her grandchildren, Matthew, Taylor, Ashley, Tyler, Lauren, Miles, Jamie, Zoe, Cade, and Mia, and her great-grandchildren, Tyler Jr. and William.

A memorial service to celebrate Linda's life will be held at 1:00 PM on April 26th at Bethlehem Evangelical Lutheran Church. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the family to help with funeral expenses.

May Linda rest in eternal peace, surrounded by the songs of the birds she so dearly loved.
