Obituary of Jeanette Ann Hendrickson

Jeanette Ann Hendrickson, 86 years of age, passed away unexpectedly Friday March 22, 2024, surrounded by her loving family.  

Jeanette was born June 18th, 1937, in Eveleth, MN. to Anton and Anna Skerjance. She attended Eveleth High School and graduated in 1955. Jan earned her associate degree at Minnesota School of Business. Married David Hendrickson in 1973 and recently celebrated their 51st wedding anniversary, Jeanette worked at North American Life and Casualty / Allianz for 33 years until she retired in 2002. Throughout her years, Jan had many interests, you could generally find her and Dave playing bingo or striking up a card game of royal rummy, 500 or playing board games. She also was an avid collector of beanie babies.  Jan loved sitting in the sun on their deck amongst her beautiful flowers she grew. Jan had an amazing green thumb and grew the most beautiful flowers. Her fondness was her Samoyeds, she loved them very dearly and always talked to them as if they were her children. She had such a kind heart, she adopted a family of wild bunnies who lived beside their house and fed them whenever she could. In her later years, Jan enjoyed watching Twins games, but certainly enjoyed taking Dave’s money when he bet against her, and she won. This truly saddens our hearts, Jan’s beautiful smile and her kind heart will be missed.    

Left to cherish her memory is her loving husband, Dave Hendrickson. Children: Scott (Mindy) Hendrickson and Kim (Lenny Hall) Hendrickson. Grandchildren: Colton Hendrickson and Aubrey Hendrickson. Sister: Margie Bates. 

Preceded in death by her parents. Sisters and their spouses: Carol Skerjance, Marrion (Greg) Hanrahan, Deloris (Harold) Jedlicka.

A memorial service will be held at a later date.
