Obituary of Marlene Elaine Weiss

Marlene Elaine Weiss, 87, of Lake Elmo, Minnesota, passed away peacefully surrounded by her family on March 26th, 2024. 

Marlene was born on December 28th, 1936 in Alexandria, Minnesota to Melvyn and Norine Byland. She attended Jackson Elementary and Mechanic Arts High School in St. Paul, Minnesota. She married Donald, the love of her life, in 1958 at the Cathedral of St. Paul and together they raised their four children in Oakdale, Minnesota. 

Marlene will be remembered for her kind, gentle, and loving spirit. She enjoyed travel, fishing on Lake Mary, dancing with Don, and rarely missed a Twins game. She was a devoted mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother and treasured her family above all else.

She is survived by her beloved husband of 66 years, Donald, her children, Gary (Laura), Cheryl (Mark) Keogh, Brian, and Barbara (Jack) Tester; her grandchildren, Adam, Katie (Dan), Angela (Mark), Anthony, Lauren, Patrick, Brent, and John; her great-granddaughter, Ramona, as well as many cherished family and friends. 

Marlene was preceded in death by her parents, Melvyn and Norine Byland, her brothers, Gene, Don, and Jim, and her grandson, Gary Weiss, Jr. Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Tuesday, April 9th, 2024 at 11:00am at Guardian Angels Catholic Church in Oakdale, MN. Visitation one hour prior, burial and luncheon to follow. All friends and family are welcome.
