Obituary of Floyd W. Johnson

Floyd W. Johnson, 88, of Esko, formerly of Hermantown, passed away peacefully surrounded by family, Wednesday, May 18, 2016. He was born June 24, 1927, in Culdrum Township, Morrison County, Little Falls, to Walfred and Elsie Johnson. Floyd was a veteran of the Army Air Force. He worked at Marshall Wells Hardware, was a Hermantown School Bus Driver and retired as a bus driver from DTA. Floyd was a Past-President and longtime member of the Lakehead Harvest Club. He was a passionate and avid collector of antique tractors and farm equipment. Floyd was preceded in death by his parents; a brother, Dalbert in 1995; and a sister, Lavina Maki in 2014. He is survived by siblings, Vernon of Esko, Ervin of Silver Bay, Kenneth (Margaret) of Hermantown, Ivadell Johnson of Duluth and Marvin (Martha) of Saginaw; nieces and nephews, Keith Johnson, Mark Johnson, Cindy Johnson, Peggy Shaw, Donald Johnson, Michael Johnson, Jeffrey Johnson, Kevin Johnson, David Johnson, Laura Nielsen and Kristin Adams; many other family members and friends. VISITATION: 5:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. today, Friday, May 20, 2016, in First Memorial Chapel, 4100 Grand Ave. and will continue from 10 a.m. until the 11 a.m. funeral service Saturday, May 21, 2016, in Grace Lutheran Church, 5454 Miller Trunk Hwy. Burial will be at Oneota Cemetery.
