Obituary of Sarah Chin-Bin Yang

Sarah Chin-Bin (Lin) Yang of Oakdale, Minnesota passed away peacefully at the age of 93 in her home on March 19, 2024. She is survived by her husband Huan-Tong Yang, her sons Frank and Tony Yang (Yi-Wen), and grandchildren Michael, Timothy, Torin, and Jessica Yang.

Born on January 13, 1931, to father, Juei Tung Lin, and mother, Feng Yang Lin, in A Lien Village, Kaohsiung County, Taiwan, Sarah graduated from Kang Shan Senior High School. In 1967, she and her sons followed her husband to the United States where she remained until her passing. Though a devoted wife and mother, Sarah also contributed to the cutting edge of the computer revolution as a PC Board Assembler. Her meticulous attention to detail, and her ability to quickly and unwaveringly replicate her process over countless repetitions made her a valuable employee to Gigabyte Technologies. Even after the company brought in machines to automate her duties, Sarah still outperformed these machines beating them in speed, quality and tolerance.

Her private viewing will be held at the Cremation Society of Minnesota in Bloomington, Minnesota
