Obituary of Pamela Beth Schweikert 

Pamela (Pam) Beth Schweikert 

Pam was formerly of Plymouth and Maple Grove, MN Lastly she lived at Sunrise of Minnetonka Assisted Living in Minnetonka,MN. On March 3,2024,Pam passed away surrounded by friends while in The Methodist Hospital  St. Louis Park, MN after a short illness. 

She was born on December 23,1951 in Norway, Iowa, a daughter of William Robert Schweikert and Constance (Jones) Schweikert.She graduated from Primghar, High School, Primghar,Iowa.She received her Bachelor Degree from Westmar University, Le Mars, Iowa where she studied Environmental Science and Biology. She played the trombone both in high school and college bands. 

Most of her working career was in various levels and locations of the FDA. 

Pam retired from her work as a Director of Compliance Branch for the Minneapolis District Office of the FDA. Prior to that she was a Compliance Officer in the Chicago District.Before that a Milk Specialist Investigator at the Las Angeles District of the FDA. She also lived in Gaithersburg, Va.early in her career with the FDA. She was very dedicated  to her job and the investigative work she did. 

Pam was a member of The Village Church in Plymouth, MN. She enjoyed monthly Bible studies in her group’s homes.She made many friends in her church.If you were luckey enough to have Pam as a friend, you had a friend for life. 

She enjoyed reading and listening to podcasts about true crimes. She liked to do needlepoint. 

Pam leaves behind her Stepmother, Gabriella Schweikert; stepsister, Lillian Zanoline and stepbrother, Lazlo Hukak. Also her cousins,Janice(Sam) Wagner, Terry (Chris) Clark, Bill (Deb) Schweikert, Sherry (Bob) Ravin, Julie (Gene) Wright, Bonnie (Mark) Shippert, Dennis(Linda) Moore and Billie (Daryl dec.) Moore. Most of the cousins live in the Warren ,Ohio area also Hendersonville, NC. and Denton,Texas. 

Pam was preceded in death by her parents, grandparents, cousins, Daryl Moore and Jennifer Shippert. Also her aunts Veldine (Clyde) Clark, Helen Moore, and Betty (Pete) Donner. Her uncles, John (Irene) Schweikert and uncle from her Mother’s family are also deceased. 

There will be a funeral service sometime in April at the First United Methodist Church in Columbiana,Ohio Warrick-Kummer-Rettig Funeral Home is handling the arrangements.The date is forthcoming for the service. Her ashes will be buried with her parents at the Fairview Cemetary in Mesopotamia,Ohio
