Obituary of Martha Margaret VanDuker

Martha Margaret VanDuker, 87, of Meadowlands, MN, passed away on March 17th, 2024, in Duluth, MN. She was born March 29, 1936, in Detroit, MI.

In 1957, Mrs. VanDuker married Raymond VanDuker in Detroit, MI. She was a full-time mom to her five children and a wonderful cook. In 1971, Mr. and Mrs. VanDuker moved their family to northern Minnesota. There she and Raymond owned and operated The Rail Hub in Elmer together for many years.

In her spare time, she loved spending time with her many grandchildren and great-grandchildren, relaxed on the water, traveling, gardening, going to the casino, watching her hummingbirds and QVC.

She is survived by her children Susan (Walter) Woodcock, Steven (Bonnie) VanDuker, Michael (Sonya) VanDuker, Nancy (LeRoy) Forstrom; her 11 grandchildren and her 18 great-grandchildren.

She is preceded in death by her parents Frank and Anna Kupovich; her husband Raymond VanDuker; her son James VanDuker; her great-grandchild Stella Radke; and her siblings Marie Mottonen and Frances Bufford.

Funeral service will be held at 11am on Saturday March 23, 2024, at St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Meadowlands, MN. Visitation will be held from 10am until the beginning of the church service. Luncheon to follow.

Interment will be at the Toivola Cemetery.
