Obituary of William Micklus

William “Bill” A. Micklus, age 73, of Burnsville, Minnesota, passed away peacefully on February 12, 2024. Born on July 24, 1950, in Minneapolis, Minnesota, Bill led a life marked by dedication to his family, his community, and his duty as a Police Officer in Burnsville.

He is lovingly remembered by his wife, Deb McCombs, and their daughters, Missy Menking (Rob) and Katie Hawkins. His memory will be cherished in the hearts of his 3 grandsons, Ethan Menking, Carter Hawkins, and Henry Hawkins. Bill also leaves behind his sister-in-law, Carol McCombs (Tim Robb), and brothers-in-law, Mark McCombs (Bud Blanchette), Mike McCombs (Chris), and Steve McCombs (Shelly Conlin), who will all fondly remember his integrity and warmth.

Bill's life was a testament to his strong values and commitment to the safety and well-being of others. His absence will be profoundly felt by all who had the privilege of knowing him.

A Celebration of Life Service will be held to honor Bill's memory at Prince of Peace Church, 13801 Fairview Drive Burnsville, MN, Tuesday, March 12^th at 11:00.  The family invites those who wish to pay their respects to join them in commemorating a life well-lived, a community served with distinction, and a man of great character.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made MN LEMA, (Minnesota Law Enforcement Memorial Association/mnlema.org) in Bill's name. His legacy will continue through the acts of kindness and support given in his memory.
