Obituary of Corinne Clare Gegner

Corinne Clare Gegner, age 96, of Minneapolis MN, died February 26, 2024 at Mount Olivet Careview Home. Corinne (known affectionately as “Corny” to her family and friends) had a lifelong love of cookbooks and gardening. As members of the Minneapolis Municipal Hiking Club she and her husband enjoyed years of long outdoor rambles and visits to Minnesota’s state parks. She loved animals and had many beloved pets from the time she was a small child until a few years before her passing.

She was born March 28, 1927, in Milwaukee, Wisconsin, to William P. and Clara B. Radke. She is survived by her husband of 77 years, Walter E. Gegner, her sister JoAnne Woll, her brother William J. Radke (Jerolyn), and her sons Walter P. (Glenee) and Jeffrey Gegner, former sister-in-law Jean Radke, and many nieces and nephews.

Thank you to the staff at Mount Olivet Careview Home who provided excellent care during her final months. Family and friends will be notified of a remembrance luncheon to take place at a later date.

The family prefers that memorials go to Mount Olivet Careview Home or the Minnesota Landscape Arboretum.
