Obituary of Gloria Lynn Nelson

Gloria L. Nelson, age 80, of Edina, MN, passed away on February 13, 2024.  

Gloria was born and raised in Chicago land where she met and married the love of her life, Donald.  Gloria was a dedicated mom to their four daughters.  The family was fortunate to live in many states over the years and ultimately settled in MN. Gloria enjoyed her career at Macy’s. She had a passion for customer service and was one of their top sales associates.  In addition, she personally loved to shop. Gloria and Don loved to travel and visit friends from coast to coast. Her favorite destination was Hawaii where they often wintered to escape the MN cold. Gloria’s family is grateful for all of the friends who enriched her life throughout the years. 

Gloria was preceded in death by her parents, brother and son-in-law.  

Gloria is survived by her husband, Donald; daughters, Deborah (Gary) Schoonover, Jennifer (Bradley, deceased) Billings, Patricia (Kenneth) Bliss and Susan Nelson; nine grandchildren and one great grandchild. 

A celebration of life will be held on Saturday, April 13, 2024, at Prince of Peace Lutheran Church, 13801 Fairview Drive in Burnsville, MN.  Visitation at 10am, service at 11am, light lunch to follow.
