Obituary of Pauline Lillian Montini Coleman

Pauline Lillian Montini Coleman, 93

Born 4/13/1930 in Aliquippa PA, died peacefully 2/19/2024 at United Hospital, St. Paul MN following hip surgery. Daughter of Adelgisa and Serafino (Sam) Montini; sister of Arthur Montini and Antoinette (Peter) Milich. June 28, 1952, she married John Leo Coleman of Neville Island, PA. They were married for 67 years.

Pauline received her Master of Science in Nursing and had a lifelong career in the medical profession working at many institutions until her retirement and then continued to work in hospice. She was a good friend to many people and will be missed by all.

She is survived by her eight children: Richard Coleman of St. Paul, Dianne (Bob) Freiermuth of Hampton, Cathy (Jeff) Gormley of Scottsdale AZ, James Coleman of Pensacola FL, Mary Coleman of Plymouth, Paula (Patrick) Hurley of Excelsior, Linda (Mark) Lucke of Minnetonka, Margaret (John) Abdo of St. Paul; Twelve grandchildren Daniel, Sarah, Michael, Brian, Gina, Meghan, Caitlin, Peter, Anna, John, Samuel, and Katherine; eight great-grandchildren Ashley, Madeline, Tyler, Trevor, Charles, Ruby, Griffin and Maeve.

She is preceded in death by her husband John, parents Sam and Dell, brother Arthur and infant great-granddaughter Evelyn.

Service will be at Lumen Christi Catholic Church 2055 Bohland Avenue, St. Paul, Friday March 1. Visitation from 9:00-9:45, Mass at 10:00. Private interment at Fort Snelling pending.

A reception celebrating her life will be held at Tiffany’s 2051 Ford Parkway, St. Paul starting at 11:30.
