Obituary of Donna Jean Ness

Passed away peacefully on February 17, 2024 at home at the age of 92. She was a long-time resident of Bloomington, MN.

Born on February 4, 1932 in Minneapolis, MN, she was the loving daughter of Verdon and Gladys (Smith) White.

She worked as a homemaker for many years raising her 7 children and worked in admitting at Fairview Southdale Hospital prior to her retirement.

She also was a member of Atonement Lutheran Church in Bloomington, MN.

She enjoyed helping with various activities at church and attending weekly bible studies with friends. Donna also liked to bowl, travel, and go to casinos with either her husband or daughter Marcia and son-in-law, Ernie but most of all, she loved spending time with her family, friends and her beloved dog, Tilly.

Preceded in death by her husband, Rudolph Ness, her parents, and brother, Howard White

Survived by children, Marcia (Ernest) Jackson, Linda Hill, Jill (Brad) Weber, Bonnie Ness, Priscilla (Alan) Gauthier, Tim Ness and Tom Ness. Eight grandchildren, many great-grandchildren, and great-great grandchildren.

Memorial services will be held Saturday, February 24, 2024 at Atonement Lutheran Church, 601 98th St., Bloomington, MN at 11:00am. A small meal will be served afterwards.

The family has asked that Memorial Contributions be made to the Animal Humane Society of MN or Access Veterinary Care (not tax deductible). Funds collected go towards helping to pay for desperately needed veterinary services when families are unable to afford it
