Obituary of Barbara Ann Ginner

Barbara “Barb” Ann Ginner age 77, passed away peacefully on February 15th, 2024, at Methodist hospital surrounded by family.

Barb was born to Theodore and Shirley Butler on December 28th, 1946, in Madison, Wisconsin. After Barb graduated from Arvada High School (CO) in 1964 she moved back to Wisconsin and began college. Barb married shortly thereafter and relocated to Minneapolis where she received a Bachelor of Arts from the University of Minnesota. In 1974 Barb welcomed her first daughter Jennifer and 3 years later her second daughter, Heather.  Barb lived an active life in the Minneapolis area raising her family and starting her interior design business. In 2001 she married Mark Ricker and welcomed his 3 children, Keri, Chris and Erick, into the family. Barb enjoyed spending her time reading, needlepointing and gardening.  She was a fabulous cook and hostess to all who knew her. Barb and Mark enjoyed traveling and being with their 10 grandchildren.

She is survived by her husband, Mark Ricker; daughters, Jennifer Oetgen and Heather (Matt) Albert; siblings, Kay Anderson and Rick (Jan) Butler; her nieces, nephews and grandchildren.

A celebration of life will be held for Barb in the spring.
