Obituary of Gene E. Soderholm

Gene E. Soderholm, 83, passed away Wednesday, May 25, 2016, surrounded by his family in Solvay Hospice House. Gene graduated from Proctor High School, served in the Marine Corps as a MP during the Korean War, retired from DM&IR Railroad and was a member of Immanuel Lutheran Church. Gene loved everything out doors, spending time with family and friends, and was always willing to help when help was needed. Gene was preceded in death by his parents; wife, Yvonne; daughter, Wendy; brother, David; and sister, Ruby. Gene is survived by his son, Bruce (Lodi); daughters, Pamela (John), and Susan "Runt"; grandchildren, Jeff, Eric, Jeanna, Missy and Joe; great-grandchildren, McKenzie, Dominic, William and Hailey; brother, Raymond; sisters, Judy, Jeri and Susie; many nieces, nephews and friends. The family would like to thank Essentia Health, Ecumen Lakeshore, and Solvay Hospice House for the wonderful care given.
