Obituary of Gerald Raymond Friedrich

Gerald Raymond Friedrich passed away on Sunday, January 28, 2024, at The Sanctuary of West St. Paul at the age of 85.  He was born July, 25, 1938 in St. Paul, MN.  He was a loving son of Carl Friedrich and Verna (Peterson).

Jerry retired from West Publishing after 35+ years of service. 

He was an avid bowler, softball player and enjoyed playing poker and cribbage (he was a terrible fisherman).  He spent his Sundays as an armchair quarterback for the MN Vikings. 

Most of all, his true passion was spending time with his wife, his honey.

He is survived by his wife, Stephanie (nee Skorude), of 64 years; his children, Scott (Becky) Friedrich, Pam (Dennis) Christ, Paula (Russ) Friemann, sister Gail Butcher (Tom), brother in-law, Michael Skorude, eight grandchildren, and four great grandchildren.

Visitation to be held on Saturday, February 3, 2024, at The Sanctuary of West St. Paul from 11 – 1:30 pm. A Celebration of Life Service will follow from 1:30 – 2:00 pm.  

Memorials preferred in lieu of flowers.
