Dale Cremers

Obituary of Dale Leo Cremers

Dale Leo Cremers passed away on Friday, January 26, 2024, at the age of 89.

He was born in Albany, MN to Joe and Cecelia Cremers on December 26, 1934. Dale married his beloved wife, Marlene, of 68 years, on October 1, 1955 in Saint Anthony, MN. Soon after, Dale joined the Air Force and left for Japan to serve as a photo journalist. He returned in 1958 and started his greatest accomplishment - his family. He was proud to provide for his wife and children through many years. His creative mind and brilliance with calculations led him to many business ventures in building development with Kraus Anderson and eventually his own housing programs. He loved wind surfing on the Pacific Ocean in Hawaii and skiing the great mountains of Colorado. He loved football and played the game in High School and College at St John's University. He was an excellent painter and loved animals, children and fancy cars. Dale was the life of the party. He was quick with a joke and found humor in every situation. He will be most remembered for his quick wit and humor as well as his love of family - especially his dear wife, Marlene.

A special thank you to Charlotte Swanson and her loving caretakers of Dignified Choice and to Sarah Postiglione for her genuine care of Dale this past year.

Dale is survived by his wife, Marlene. Children, Michele Newsom, Jay Cremers (Marcy), Karleen (Norm) Waitt, Joel Cremers (Roseanne); grandchildren, Nicole (Tom), Chelsey (Colin), Caitlin (Kristjian), Justin (Carly), Taylor, Lily, Jack, Ian, Jacob; great grandchildren, Sarah, Madison, Charlotte, Emilia, Dean.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Joe and Cecelia; brother, Gordon (Joan), sister Valeria (Bill). Son in Law, David Newsom.
