Obituary of Susan Lynn Dirkes

On Wednesday, January 17th, Susan Dirkes, a beloved daughter, sister, aunt and friend, passed away unexpectedly due to a rare autoimmune disease.  Born to James and Janice Dirkes on August 10th, 1959.   Susan "Sue" is survived by brother Scott and wife Chris, nieces Taylor (Stephen), Riley (Zach), godmother/Aunt Pat Meyer, uncle Ron Dirkes and many cousins and friends. Sue worked at GE Capital for many years, and was currently employed at Element Fleet Services as a business analyst.  

Sue was very fortunate to have many friends that supported her.  Karen and Drew, Tammy and Dave, and the camping group were some of her closest friends that were by her side providing love, support, and encouragement. Sue's passions were camping, scrapbooking and traveling the midwest visiting Freedom Rocks. Sue and her friends were instrumental in creating the Freedom Rock memorial to Lakeside Park in Big Lake, MN. 

Memorial service will be held Sunday, February 25th, 2:00pm at Cremation Society of MN, 7835 Brooklyn Boulevard, Brooklyn Park, MN 55445 (phone# 763-560-3100). Visitation one hour before service.
