Obituary of Philip Charles Carey

Philip C. Carey, 71, passed away December 22, 2023, following a long battle with cancer.

Phil worked for many years for Fond-du-Luth Casino. He was a proud Navy veteran.

He is survived by his wife Therese Brannan, 2 stepsons, Ken (Angela) Ormsby, Kevin (Arica) Ormsby, 11 step grandchildren, 7 sisters, Charlotte (Curtis) Felt, Gayle Kirk, Linda (Donald) Wakefield, Susan (Joe) Wakefield, Deborah (Cordell) Watt, Mary (David) Lassman, Joanne (Blake Evanson) Carey and many nieces, nephews, and other relatives.

Phil was predeceased by his parents, Alfred and Dorithy Carey.

A celebration of his life will be held at Cremation Society of Minnesota, 4100 Grand Ave., Duluth with visitation at 9:00 AM until the service at 10:00 AM on Friday, January 26, 2024. Luncheon will follow.
