Obituary of Harold L Adamson

Age 82, passed away January 4, 2024. He is preceded in death by his loving wife of 36 years, Judy; his son Tony, his parents Ellis & Hazel; and 7 siblings. Harold; most recently from Red Wing, MN, passed away peacefully with family after a lengthy battle with Alzheimer’s Disease. He joined the Navy in 1959 and became a Signalman on the USS Suribachi. He loved to travel and was stationed all over the world, including New York, France, Greece, and Italy. Through that experience he came to love the Mediterranean Sea.

Harold was a loving and dedicated father, grandfather, brother, and devoted husband. He prioritized and valued his family above all else. Harold, together with Judy, loved eating out, listening to music, singing and dancing, walks by the river and going for long drives. Harold was an avid reader and especially loved history books (his favorite was War and Peace). He was an excellent woodworker and shared his talents by building things for others, including furniture, cedar chests, and toy chests.

Harold is survived by daughters Raindi(Chris) & Marina; step-children Ron(Cindy), Karen(Denny), Beth(Gina), and Theresa(Paul); siblings Tom(Kathy) and Patty(Bob) as well as many nieces, nephews, grandchildren, great-grandchildren and friends.

The Celebration of Harold’s life will be held at The Ft. Snelling Veteran’s Memorial Chapel, Hwy. 5 & 55. St. Paul, MN 55111, on Friday, February 2nd with visitation beginning at 11:00 and a memorial service beginning at 11:30. His burial with Military Honors will follow at Fort Snelling National Cemetery, 7601 34th Ave, S., Mpls, MN 55450, at 2:00pm, please arrive through the Gate 2 (North of the main gate) by 1:45pm for assembly and processional to the committal shelter.
