Obituary of Richard J. Haller
Richard J. "Rick" Haller, 65, of Duluth, passed away on Thursday, June 2, 2016, in Essentia Health with his family by his side.
Rick was born in Duluth on Sept. 8, 1950 to John and Florence (Anderson) Haller.
He graduated from Central High School and served with the 148th from 1969-1975. Rick spent the majority of his career working for Northland Constructors and Levine and Son. Rick enjoyed fishing, spending many days on Island Lake and Big Sandy. He also enjoyed camping, as well as bird and deer hunting. Rick will be fondly remembered for his wonderful sense of humor and his zest for life.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
Rick is survived by his wife and best friend, Carrie; children, Jay (Marcia), Ryan (Stacy), and Annie (Chris) Kuklock; grandchildren, Leslie, Joe, Clayton, Kaitlyn, Jacob and Henry; siblings, Irene Jubie, Carolyn (Jerry) Beise, Phil (Jeanne), Thomas (Lottie) and Jack; close friend, Nathan Dahlgren; beloved cat, Abby; and many nieces nephews and friends.
The family extends a heartfelt thank you to the staff of Essentia Health and to the Fresenius Dialysis team at Miller Dwan for the outstanding care they provided Rick over the last several years.
