Obituary of Lawrence LB Gray

Lawrence (LB) Gray was born on September 14, 1932 in Detroit, Texas to Dicey Riley Stephen. LB came to Minnesota in 1951 where he met Hattie J. Jones and was united in marriage on August 1, 1958. LB retired from Smith Foundry in South Minneapolis where he worked for 47 years until he became ill. After an extended illness, LB passed away at the age of 91 at Fairview Southdale Hospital, Edina, Minnesota on January 4, 2024. LB was preceded in death by his mother, Dicey Riley Stephen; wife Hattie J. Gray, son David Gray; sister Diane Ruffin, and brother-in-law Milton Ruffin. LB was survived by his daughter Terilyn Gray, Minneapolis, MN; son Larry Gray, Minneapolis, MN; brother Terry Stephen, Minneapolis, MN; sister-in-law America Stephen, Minneapolis, MN and his extended family – Thomas, Moore, Dinkins, Young Families.
