Obituary of James Edwin Ross

James Edwin "Pops" Ross, Sr., 71, of Duluth, passed away on Thursday, June 2, 2016, in St. Luke's Hospital surrounded by his loving family. He was born in Duluth, on Sept. 9, 1944, to Edwin and Beulah (Scouton) Ross. James spent the majority of his career working for MnDOT retiring after 33 years. He was preceded in death by his son, Daniel; two sisters; his parents and best friends, Frank Foster and Laverne Keuton. James is survived by his loving ex-wife, Carol Foster; children, James (Lil) Jr., Mike, Pam (Blaine) and Charlie (Marnie) Ross; five grandchildren, Katie, Karley, Brennen, Brett and Alex; one great-grandson, Jayce; brothers, Dave, Dick and Bob; step-father, Bill Bodin; beloved dog, Rollie; as well as many extended family members and friends.
