Obituary of Donnette Teresa Dahlgren

Donnette Teresa Dahlgren was born January 25, 1961 in Valley City, North Dakota and went to her eternal home on January 6, 2024 after an eighteen month battle with cancer.  

Donnette graduated from South St. Paul High School and Bethel University where she majored in business.  She ended her career in a job she loved at Elevence where she was a Credential Lead.

Donnette loved her family and friends.  She enjoyed estate sales, being at the lake, caring for her yorkies and her new found hobby of watercolor painting. All who knew her knew that whatever she did, she did with excellence and diligence, including fighting cancer.  Donnette was kind to everyone and loved being a wife, mother, daughter, sister, auntie and friend.  She never forgot a birthday or an anniversary.  

Donnette is survived by her husband, Butch, daughter Baylee (Sam) Gerten and Maddie (John) Hay, grandchildren Vivian Hay and Sydney Gerten,  mother and father  Don and Pat Sheldon, sisters LuAnne (Blair) Oklobzija and Vicki (Jerry) Benz.

We will miss her earthly presence but know that someday we will see her again. A celebration of her life will be held on Friday, January 19, 2024 at 11:00 am with visitation at 10:00 am at Eagle Brook Church, 2401 E. Buffalo St., White Bear Lake, MN  55110

In lieu of flowers; memorials are preferred to Minnesota Cancer Research.
