Obituary of David Richard Kotrba

David Richard Kotrba, age 70, of Columbus, MN passed away peacefully at his home.  He was born 2/2/53 at Saint Joseph's Hospital in Saint Paul, MN, to parents Verona and John Kotrba.  He is survived by his wife, Ruth; his children, Kyle (Crystal) and Angie (Brad); his brother, Jack (Mary); and many nieces and nephews.  He is preceded in death by his parents, Verona and John and his siblings Bill, Deann, and Rita.  Dave was born and raised in the midway of Saint Paul and ran with the Midway Maniacs.  He met his devoted wife, Ruth in 1971; and the two had been inseparable ever since.   Dave took great pride in his fix-it skills and was always willing to help out a friend.  He loved his cabin on Big Marine Lake and had spent summers there since childhood.  In 2005 Dave, Ruth, and Kyle embarked on a new adventure of owning a bar together, The Full Moon, in Stark, MN.  Through The Full Moon he made many new friends and thoroughly enjoyed owning a bar.  Dave will be greatly missed by all that knew him and especially his mischievous smile.  A Celebration of Life will be held on Monday, February 5, 2024 at 5-8PM at the Cremation Society of MN, 1979 Old Hudson Rd., St Paul, MN 55119.
