Obituary of John Rogus

John Rogus, Jr., of Gordon, was born in Withee, Wis. on March 15, 1932. He passed away on June 3, 2016 in Duluth, surrounded by his loving family. He was preceded in death by his parents, John and Nellie Rogus, brothers August and Leo and sister-in-law Marge Rogus. John graduated from Cathedral High School. As a young man, he joined the National Guard, worked on the boats on Lake Superior, then the railroad before becoming a carpenter. He is survived by his children Scott, Cheryl, Michael and Theresa Katzmark, many grandchildren and great grandchildren, his brother George Rogus, and sisters Dorothy (Frank) Knapp and Joan (Jerry) Podgorski. Memorial service in Thorp, Wis. on June 27. He will be dearly missed.
