Obituary of Jerry Dean Stahl

Stahl, Jerry Dean Devoted husband, father and grand- father and lover of all dogs, passed peacefully after a long illness on 12/24/23. He was 80 years old.

Through the course of his illness (MDS) and many treatments, he never complained, kept a positive attitude, and in typical Jerry fashion, made a lot of friends along the way.

Jerry was raised in Minneapolis and graduated from Washburn High School and the University of Minnesota. He had a long, distinguished career as an Advertising Executive - working all over the country until settling back in Minneapolis in 1980. His career culminated with the opening of his own firm (Associates & Stahl) in 1998. Throughout the years, the Polaris Inc. account was near and dear to him. He not only enjoyed his work with them - he cherished the friendships he made along the way. He retired in 2006 and spent the next 15 plus years volunteering with organizations benefiting dogs and veterans.

He is survived by his loving wife Bobbi of 25 years; siblings Craig, Jimmy, Mary Jo, Terri and families; daughters Lise (Slater) and Lindsay (Ryan); sons Josh (Mary) and Jesse (Amanda); his beloved grandchildren - Emma, Sophie, Mia, Grace, Izzy, Hank, and Phoebe; and many extended family members and friends.

Jerry loved traveling, delicious food, nice clothes, and a good round of golf but more than anything he loved his family. He was always anticipating the next family event, and would light up when talking about his kids and grandkids.

The family would like to send a special thank you for the excellent care from the medical staff at Minnesota Oncology and Mayo Clinic. Their kindness and friendship will not be forgotten.

Services will be held at the Lakewood Cemetery Memorial Chapel on 2/24/24 at 9:30 am, with a luncheon to follow.
