Linda Kondogan

Obituary of Linda Ann Kondogan

Linda Ann Kondogan passed away suddenly December 20, 2023 in her home at Saint Anns in Duluth Minnesota. Linda was born in Detroit Michigan on December 31, 1950 to Shirley Jean (Locks) and Nicholas Kondogan. Linda was to become big sister to three siblings, Douglas, Christine and Jeffrey. Linda graduated North Farmington High School in 1971.

Linda was incredibly social and has left behind many loving friends at Saint Anns. Some of her best friends throughout her life were her animals. Linda always thought that animals were kinder than a lot of people and it showed through her support of Animal Allies here in Duluth and of animal shelters in many other places. She also supported CHUM in Duluth and her heart always went out to those in need.

Linda was a member of Turtle Time in Bonita Florida, helping to save baby turtles survive, and The Bonita Shell Club.

Anyone that knew Linda became a fast friend and was a friend for life. She could talk your ear off about other places she had lived (Michigan and Florida) her past animals, and her love of crocheting. She was always happy that her birthday was on New Years Eve since everyone, everywhere celebrated that day. On her birthday for years, she made a family favorite, spanakopita in which a wrapped quarter was hidden in a piece when baked. Whoever found the quarter was to experience good luck throughout the upcoming year. We were happy-sad to had have found the wrapped quarter from last year on her table, ready for another “Pita” to be baked this New Years Eve, which would have been Lindas 74th birthday.

Linda is preceded in death by both paternal and maternal grandparents, her beloved parents, mother Shirley and father Nick Kondogan, her youngest brother Jeffrey and many beloved animals, which she would think should all be listed here by name.

Linda is survived by her loving younger siblings Christine Kondogan (Karla Richards) of Duluth, Minnesota and brother Douglas Kondogan of Maggie Valley North Carolina. Linda loved her uncle Michael Kondogiani and Aunt Kathleen Kondogiani of Livonia, Michigan along with her many cousins. There will be no formal service or funeral. We will offer a small celebration of life with her friends and family at Saint Anns soon.

Linda would love for you to show your love for her by supporting your local no kill animal shelter in her name.
